Code of Conduct for Parents / Guardians (to be retained by the Parents / Guardians)
· Promote and adopt a good supportive attitude towards the game, your son / daughter, and their team-mates, opponents, the coaches, the officials, other parents and spectators.
· Respect the notion of fair play.
· Respect the rules governing spectator areas both home and away, refrain from coaching from the sidelines.
· Do not verbally abuse your son / daughter or their team-mates, opponents, the coaches, the officials, other parents and spectators.
· Do not make any racial or sexually discriminative remarks about players, officials, other parents or spectators.
· Do not act in a manner, which would be considered threatening to your son / daughter, and their team-mates, opponents, the coaches, the officials, other parents and spectators.
· Treat all players, officials, coaches and other parents, as you would like you and your family to be treated.
· Know and understand why your son / daughter is playing. The objective of Chelmsford City Youth FC is to provide a high quality learning environment, to improve techniques, but above all to encourage enjoyment of the sport.
· Accept that mistakes by players, coaches, officials are part of the learning process.
· Ensure that players attend training regularly and on time. Give adequate notice for absences from training and games. Ensure players are appropriately attired for training and matches.
· Ensure you encourage your son / daughter and team-mates by positive comments and constructive points presented at the appropriate time in a calm manner . Do not place an unwarranted amount of pressure on the players.
· Keep the manager / coach fully briefed of any injuries or illness that affects performance and well being of the player.
· If you do have any concerns your are entitled to attend regular club meetings and bring matters to the attention of the club's management . Your team manger can advise when meetings are scheduled. You are encouraged to attend meetings.
